The acquisition of knowledge and insight is the main focus during the lectures. Lectures are given at the start of the course. At a later stage, more emphasis is placed on active student participation by offering seminars, which are linked as much as possible to the problems of the more complicated design projects. The result of a series of lectures is assessed on the basis of presentation, excursion and/or by means of a test assignment.
