The Academy include quite a few international and intercultural elements in the curriculum (guest lectures, design studios, Summer schools, excursions). Taking part in our international programmes and Summer Schools helps students to acquire international skills. Landscape Architecture offers an annual joint-degree programme through EMiLA (European Master in Landscape Architecture), with Summer School workshops as well. Projects, study visits, workshops abroad (or in Amsterdam, with international guests) can be:

•  Cross-border design project locations 
• Cross-border study visits (Eurotour)
• Cross-border workshops (Summer Schools)

Study trips for a consecutive period to destinations in the Netherlands or abroad form part of the elective programme in the summer. In general, an excursion is worth one elective credit. Below are some examples of journeys recently initiated by students and / or teachers.
