Get to know the Academy of Architecture
During our open days, introductory workshops, guided tours and online Q&A's you get to know the Academy and the creative learning environment at the Academy of Architecture in the centre of Amsterdam.
Open days
The Academy of Architecture organises two open days every year. During an open day, you will receive information about our education model: the concurrent model. Study coordinators will tell you more about the combination of working and studying simultaneously. You can ask questions to students and alumni and meet the heads of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture. Taste the atmosphere of our beautiful building or join a guided tour including a visit to the library.
Introductory workshops
The Academy of Architecture organizes introductory workshops as an introduction to the education we offer. The workshops are meant for (graduate) students of relevant education and art schools interested in following a pre-master, minor, or masters degree. Workshops provide an excellent opportunity to get more acquainted with our educational model. You will work on an assignment in an (international) team; the tutors are graduates of the Academy and they will happily answer all your questions - feel free to ask them anything about the Academy!
Guided Tours
A guided tour is a pleasant and informal way to experience the atmosphere at the academy. During a tour, we will take you in a small group through a typical school day at our academy. You will be guided by alumni and have the opportunity to ask questions. Afterwards, you are more than welcome to stay a bit longer in the canteen.
Online Q&A
The online Q&As are for students who cannot physically attend our open days. They are organised twice a year. In autumn, the Q&A is mainly available to international students, and in spring, it is available to anyone with last-minute questions about the application and admission process.
