On this page you can find a brief troubleshooting guide about the applications we work with. If this information is not helpful, you can contact the helpdesk of the AHK. The ICT Servicedesk is there to assist!

You can send an email to helpdesk@ahk.nl or call +31 (0)20 527 7752  or go to the Self Service Portal, usually reachable between 08:30 -> 16:00 hrs.

The Service Desk -located in room 2.09 at the Reinwardt Academie, Hortusplantsoen 2- is open for visitors Monday through Friday from 09:30 to 12:00, but it is best to call first.

Activating your AHK account

On this page you can find a brief guide about the applications we work with. Before anything else, you need an AHK-account. This AHK account is neccesary in order to use all of the applications, sites and files within the AHK environment. Your AHK account is the basis of all other applications, without an active AHK you can't get in anywhere.

The activation email
-All students and all tutors should have an activated AHK account. If all is well, you have received an activation emailfrom activatie-mail@ahk.nl with the subject ‘AHK Account Activation’. This email is sent to your own (private) email address (this email might be in your spam folder).  Please keep this e-mail for future use -if you do not use your AHK account often and you need  to log in again after a while, you might need it to retrieve your username. The activation email explains exactly how to log in for the first time:

Dear student,

Welcome to the Amsterdam University of the Arts! We have created an account for MyAHK for you.
Please activate your account by visiting the following address:

https://password.ahk.nl/sspr/public/activate
and entering the details:

  • User name: ...
  • Activation code: ...

After activating your account your personal AHK mailbox will be created with this email address:
...@student.ahk.nl

For more information about your account, visit our website

Did you not receive an activation email?
Check your spam folder. Wait one or two days. If you subscribed as a student, or if yoy have received a tutor-confirmation, an AHK account has been created for you, so if you have not received the mail after 2 days, please contact the Helpdesk of the AHK. Let them know that an AHK account has been created for you but that you haven't received the email. If they can not find your AHK accpunt, students need to contact the Central Student Administration of the Amsterdam University of the Arts. This is the central service desk for both student administration and ICT, there is no need to contact the Academy of Architecture. Tutors that have received an confirmation email (from avb-tutors@ahk.nl) but can not log in their (new) AHK-account, should contact avb-studysecretariat@ahk.nl

Did you receive the email but you still can not login?
Please double-check the following steps:

  • Your email address is <firstname>.<lastname>@student.ahk.nl
  • Your username is <first inital>.<last name>>@student.ahk.nl Sometimes your name is made into something else or a number is added, e.g. with common surnames. Check your username in the very first activation email (see above), this can sometimes cause confusion. If you really don't know, and you can not find the email, you can call the Helpdesk of the AHK. They can check everything and find it again.

Troubleshooting for your AHK account

Did you log in earlier with your AHK account but now you can't?  

If you have trouble logging in and you don't know the password? Then you can reset the password. Try to log in via MyAHK and click 'forgot password'. Please note that your username is  not your email address but (usually) <first inital>.<last name>@ahk.nl, (sometimes it is made into something else or a number is added, e.g. common surnames). To find out your exact username, it's best to look back at the original first activation email (search for sender activatie-mail@ahk.nl or search for 'Account Activation'). If you don't know and can't find the email, it's best to call the Helpdesk.

They can see for each account if and when it was activated and what the associated username is.

Are you trying to log in and/or request a new password, and getting the message that your  account is disabled or access prohibited? Check if you are still logged into another Teams account. If so, you can log in using a (different) browser.

Are you working with Apple? Teams doesn't always work well on Safari, but it's possible. If you have problems logging in, we advise you to contact the Helpdesk. They will check your settings, which vary per version of your Apple computer.

Stages

 Stages is the name of our new digital learning environment. Starting from the second semester, 22 January, all communication regarding courses and education among Academy staff, tutors, and students will occur through Stages, replacing MS Teams. MyAHK

On MyAHK.nl you find news, instructions, applications, tips & tricks, timetables, AHK wide, but also specified for the Academy of Architecture. Take a look and discover how it will help you to get all information you need.

 

Educator

Educator is the student information system we use at the AHK. In Educator you will find the education catalog and the study dashboard. The Course Catalogue gives you as a student a simple insight and overview of which educational activities are offered and what they entail. Here you will find information about the content of courses and the assessment methods used. On your study dashboard you can see all information about your study program and progress.

You can find Educator by logging in to My AHK and clicking on the 'Educator tile' on the homepage or by going to https://ahk.educator.eu/welcome.

Rooster - timetable application

You can check your weekly timetable and classrooms in the handy ‘AHK roosters’ app. Download in the Play Store (Android) / App Store (Apple) by searching for ‘AHK roosters’, o go to https://rooster.ahk.nl/avb.

 

Printing at the Academy with the Campus print app

You can print via the CampusPrint app. 
Download the app for Android: Google Play Store and for Apple: App Store

With this app, you can send documents and photos from your phone, tablet or cloud app to a printer. You can also log in on the printer, control it and manage print orders in the print queue. If you’re not using the app, you can also log in on the printer with a code via the print portal.This print service allows you to print, copy, or scan in black & white ánd in color on any printer within the Amsterdam University of the Arts. You need to be logged-in with your AHK-account.

For special prints and larger amounts, we advise to use an extern printservice like Felix Priint. This copy- and print shop is located close to the Academy in the centre of Amsterdam, and it offers 15% discount for AvB student and tutors!
