Holland Tour 2023

The Holland Tour 2023 had as its theme New and Old Land. The first day, Friday, June 16, focused on the new land with the Flevopolders, visiting the artwork, the land art project De Groene kathedraal, the new neighborhood Almere Oosterwold, Lelystad Centrum and Lelystad Haven, before traveling by boat to the newest piece of Holland: the Markerwadden, bureau Vista explained their design on the spot. Across the Houtribdijk (also known as Markerwaarddijk or dike Enkhuizen-Lelystad the journey continued to Andijk, where tents were pitched for the communal dinner.

The second day's theme was Old Land and started with a visit to the Reformed Church of the architect Egbert Reitsma in Andijk. From Andijk they biked along the dike to Enkhuizen, where the Snouck van Loosen park, an example of a garden village, was visited before walking to the Zuiderzee Museum via a city walk. After the visit to the Zuiderzee Museum, the bicycle tour was continued to end point Hoorn, via the Juliana Park and walk through the historic center, the final chord took place in the Oosterkerk of Hoorn, where all kinds of facets of history (VOC, trade, etc.) were discussed.
