Vinay Venkatraman, founder and CEO of Leapcraft, will showcase how good design, data science and sensor technologies can transform the way we build and operate our cities during his 1·Lectures on 9 May 2019 at the Academy of Architecture.
His talk will cover how data transforms the human aspects of smart cities – bringing transparency, action and feedback into citizen engagement. In addition the rise of low cost sensor solutions are also transforming the way such data is available applied to variety of use cases including urban planning, traffic optimisations, health risk management etc. This changes the way designers, architects and urban planners will create in the future and this paradigm needs a range of new tools and systems to work with i.e data as a raw material.
