Location and contact

The premises of the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture consist of a number of historic seventeenth-century buildings with a unique atmosphere. A drastic renovation has taken place during the academic year 2006/2007 to enable the premises to meet the demands of today and to improve communications between the different buildings.

The Academy has a number of classrooms, some of which are adapted to the different types of lesson and equipped with digital presentation facilities, an improved auditorium, the 'Hoge Zaal', and an exhibition space known as 'De Omloop'. The Academy also has a specialised library, a scale model workshop, and a large Academy café which serves as meeting point.
