New European League

Cities are constantly changing. The diversity of urban transformations of cities, within the limited boundaries of Europe, is enormous. Some cities are booming while others are shrinking. At the same time some cities have to reposition themselves because of new political conditions while others are influenced by new infrastructural connections. Sometimes big events are the motor for change. To give an overview of the new urban challenges which the contemporary European city has to face, the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture presents six urban portraits.
