Last Thursday Peter van Assche, professor in Architecture & Circular Thinking at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, delivered his inaugural lecture in a sold out Pakhuis de Zwijger. During the inspiring lecture, he indicated that the research group wants to work towards the Arcadian Anthropocene. Or as Peter van Assche said: "That means that the research group wants to formulate answers to social questions by using circular thinking in this world's most beautiful profession, namely designing our space: architecture".
After the lecture, the first copy of the publication Architecture & Circular Thinking was handed over to Bert Verveld, President of the Executive Board of the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Curious about the lecture? The publication can be downloaded via this link. A paper version can be collected free of charge at the reception of the Academy of Architecture.
