Invitation: Shared Campus Return Evening on 2 October 2024 from 17:00 to 20:00 hours @AHK Culture Club
What: Short presentations by tutors and students who participated in summer schools in Zurich and Hong Kong
When: Wednesday, 2 October, 17.00-20.00 hours (light refreshments provided).
Where: AHK Culture Club, Marineterrein, Kattenburgerstraat 5 27K, Amsterdam
On Wednesday, 2 October there will be a presentation evening where students and tutors will share their experience from the Shared Campus summer schools.
Annet Lekkerkerker, Chair of the Executive Board of the AHK, will open the evening, followed by Patricia Ruisch, who will introduce Shared Campus.
Amrita Das will then reflect on the intercultural didactics and communication workshop she led prior to the students' departure for the summer schools.
In total, seven AHK students will present the projects they worked on during the Shared Campus summer schools 2024.
Four students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and two students from the Reinwardt Academy will showcase the projects they collaborated on with during the summer school Hacking Global Pop Icons in Hong Kong.
One student from Reinwardt Academy will report on her participation in The Embedded Artist, Socially Engaged Arts summer school in Zurich. Here, she explored social transformation through transcultural and transdisciplinary collaborations.
All participants collaborated with students from Singapore, Kyoto, Tokyo, Taiwan, Zurich and London among others.
The students will also share their overall impressions of the summer schools.
Jack Pisters of the Conservatory's Pop Music Department, Menno Welling of the Applied Museum and Heritage Studies Masters’ programme and Jeanne van Heeswijk will introduce the students.
