Open call: Guest Lecturers for Urbanism Research Course

Looking for Guest Lecturers for Reading the City in Time of Post Growth, a 8-weeks Urbanism Research Course.

We are in search of inspiring, critical, and motivating professionals in the field of Urbanism Research to join our teaching team.

We are looking to explore cities in post-growth transition, with a focus on the analyses and understanding of real-life case studies and/or initiatives located in Amsterdam and its larger region, that contribute to exemplary cases of urban transitions towards climate and social justice.
 

Class Details:

  • Dates:from 24 January to 14 March 2025, with the final presentation on the last teaching day.
  • Time:Friday mornings 9:30-12:30AM
  • Language of Instruction: English
  • Location:Academy of Architecture at Waterlooplein, Amsterdam or at the specific case-studies sites and initiatives researched.
  • Compensation: Payment in accordance with the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) Collective Labour Agreement (CAO).

1) A brief description of your approach and method, research team, the goals you want to reach, the didactic model you want to use, and any suggestions for possible location or case studies and initiatives (max 500 words); and
2) A short introduction of yourself as a teacher and professional designer (max 200 words).
