Nominations Archiprix NL and audience award at closure Graduation Show 2017

At the closure of the Graduation Show 2017 on Sunday 5 November, the four graduation projects that will be allowed to participate in the Archiprix NL, the prestigious prize for graduating talent from the Dutch design study programmes, were announced. An audience award was also presented.

The exhibition with entries from the students of the Master’s programmes in Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture was opened by Daan Zandbelt on Friday 3 November. Architect-director and founding partner of Team V Architecture Jeroen van Schooten served as visiting critic. 

The nominations Archiprix
On behalf of the jury Madeleine Maaskant (director of the Academy of Architecture) announced the four nominations for the Archiprix. The graduation projects nominated for participation in the Archiprix NL are: 'Flowing Force’ by Mirte van Laarhoven (Master in Landscape Architecture), ‘About walls and other freedoms’ by Annette Bos (Master in Architecture), ‘Dutzendteich’ by Brigitta van Weeren (Master in Landscape Architecture) and 'Home of Legends' by Dafne Wiegers (Master in Architecture). The presentation of the Archiprix competition will take place in June 2018.  

Audience award
Votes could be cast at the Academy of Architecture for the audience award once again this year. Bert Verveld (President Executive Board of the Amsterdam University of the Arts) announced the winner: Chiara Dorbolò with her graduation project ‘The Seven Follies of Lampedusa’.
