From Friday November 1 to Sunday November 3 the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture presented the graduation projects from the Master programmes in Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture during the Graduation Show 2019.

Nominations Archiprix NL
At the closure of the Graduation Show 2019, director Madeleine Maaskant announced the four nominees for the Archiprix NL. The nominated projects will participate in the prestigious prize for graduating talent from the Dutch design study programmes. The nominated graduation projects are: 'Nature is Under Your Feet’ by Charlotte van der Woude (master Landscape Architecture), ‘Het Achterhuis’ by Paul Kuipers (master Architecture), ‘A Sense of Home’ by Patrick Roegiers (master Architecture) and ‘The Battle of Amsterdam’ by Andreas Mulder (master Urbanism). The presentation of the Archiprix NL will take place in the spring of 2020.

Audience award
Visiting critic Indira van ’t Klooster announced the winner of the audience award, which was Patrick Roegiers with his graduation project ‘A Sense of Home’.

Circular exhibition
The theme of the Graduation Show, curated by Bruno Vermeersch, is PLAN NULL. It can no longer be ignored; too many exhibitions end up as waste. In fact, we do not design exhibitions, we design trash. PLAN NULL puts an end to that and embraces the circularity and the recycling potential that building materials should have.
