Almost 60 years ago, Danish garden and landscape architect C.Th. Sørensen published 39 Haveplaner: a booklet with 39 different designs for one and the same garden. Since its publication, the booklet has been a source of inspiration for garden and landscape architects, showcasing how much is possible within a small space.

Up until now, the book has only been available in Danish, and since 1995, it has also been available in Dutch. Today, we present the English version. Dutch landscape architect Lodewijk Wiegersma, who's been working and living in Denmark for a long time, will introduce the context of Danish garden and landscape architecture. Then, Kristoffer Holm Pedersen from the renowned design office SLA will speak on their design philosophy and how they have adapted the work and thoughts of Sørensen to address today's reality and challenges.
