On Thursday 7 September the public presentation of our graduate Philip Mtenga Lyaruu will be held. He graduated in August 2022 as an architect at the Academy of Architecture with his project Habari Yako! about Urban redevelopment in a Zanzibari context. Being half Tanzanian and half Dutch, a strong compulsion to acknowledge his heritage came over him when he visited Tanzania for the first time just before he started the Academy of Architecture. For his graduation he tried to find a way to contribute to the country of his father’s birth through the use of Architecture.
