About this AHK Circle
We embark on a journey of discovery through social experiments, interventions, and group activities to learn how we can truly engage in and sustain conversations with one another. Once we've established the rules of the game, we'll explore the important conversations AHK employees and students want to have with each other. We will teach various conversation and listening techniques through gameplay. This process actively considers power dynamics, privileges, individual identities, and the different social circles in which participants move. In this way, we all confront our own biases, assumptions, and bubbles. Only by doing so can we facilitate truly meaningful encounters.
The goal? Engage in conversations with people who (at first glance) seem completely different from you and look beyond the initial differences. Let's discover commonalities that go beyond that initial distinction and, from there, engage in new but necessary conversations.
This AHK Circle is not only interactive but also interdisciplinary. We combine the best of Mounir's skills as a journalist, cultural entrepreneur, theater maker, and presenter.
The next editions of AHK Circles will take place on October 31 and November 30 & December 1, 2023.
