Architect Wessel de Jonge lectures about the renovation of the Burgerweeshuis in Amsterdam by Aldo van Eyck from 1960. He will compare this project with other icons that the architecture firm renovated, such as Zonnestraal in Hilversum and the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam.

Wessel de Jonge architects is a firm with international recognition in the field of re-use and restoration of recent architectural heritage, often in a dynamic urban context, with a strongly expanding portfolio of new buildings. In an architecture that is lucid and subtle, with sophisticated choices of materials and details, spaces are created where the occupants feel comfortable and at ease.
