Academy of Architecture
Waterlooplein 211-213

The work of Herman Zeinstra (Dok architects) has a distinctive signature: lucid proportions, expressive use of materials and great attention to detail. Detailed hand-drafted sketches always form part of his design process. In the second 1.Lecture of the season, Zeinstra looks back at the high and low points of his career and discusses his personal favourites.

Herman Zeinstra has received various awards for his work over the years, including the Dino-bokaal (2002) for the éminence grise of Dutch architecture and in 2005 the Zuiderkerkprijs for the best housing project in Amsterdam.
