Landscape architect and researcher Noël van Dooren will lecture about the work of artist Louis Le Roy (1924-2012). Le Roy has been of great significance for Dutch landscape design of the 1960s and 1970s. His work has recently grown in popularity.

The new series of 1·Lectures is structured around various recurring themes: One Catalog, One Era & One Extreme.

Unless stated otherwise the lectures take place at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, Waterlooplein 213 in Amsterdam. They are held on Thursday evenings, starting at 8 PM.

Tickets
Tickets cost € 5 and can be purchased up front on the website of Arcam. Furthermore, tickets are on sale at the door on the evening of the lecture, starting at 7.30 PM (when in stock). Academy students receive free entry on presentation of their student card. The official language is English.

Bus trip
Visit the Ecocathedral by Louis Le Roy in Mildam (Friesland) and the Priona Gardens by Henk Gerritsen in Schuinesloot (Overijssel) on Saturday October 3rd. Both are natural gardens. Click here for more information and register.
